The Grass is Always Greener!

This is even true for some Malawians, but they do not accept that for long.  Chigonthi District borders Ngwangwa District in Malawi, Africa. The border between the two areas follows a river and Chigonthi farmers could see a big change last year in the amount of irrigation happening on the opposite bank.

Several villages sent farmers to Ngwangwa to find out how they had irrigated so much land. After hearing about the trainings and techniques that Africa Windmill Project brought to Ngwangwa, Chigonthi farmers asked AWP to help them increase their harvests and income.  As you can see Chigonthi is well on its way to making sure at least along this portion of the river both sides stay green!
